✨ Step-by-Step: How to Apply Press-On Nails
1. Start with Clean, Dry Nails
Wash hands and remove all oils using rubbing alcohol. This helps the glue bond better.
2. Push Back Your Cuticles
Use a cuticle stick to gently push them back. This gives your press-ons a clean edge and helps them lay flush.
3. File and Buff
Shape your natural nails and gently buff the surface. This creates grip for longer hold.
4. Match Sizes
Lay out the press-ons and match each one to your natural nail. If it’s too big, file the sides — it’s better to go slightly smaller than too large.
5. Apply Glue (or Tabs)
Add a small dot of glue to your natural nail and the back of the press-on. Too much glue = mess. Too little = pop-offs.
6. Press & Hold
Press the nail on firmly for 30 seconds. Make sure it’s straight!
7. Repeat & Flex
Repeat for all fingers, and wait at least 1 hour before getting your hands wet.
🔥 Pro Tips for Long-Lasting Press-Ons:
-
Avoid water for the first few hours
-
Carry glue for emergency fixes
-
Don’t use your nails as tools!
-
Apply at night so they set while you sleep
