Our Story ā€” From One Girl to a Global Team

When I first started Doobys Nails 15 years ago, the world of false nails was pretty different. Stiletto nails were practically unheard of, and my dad and I would spend countless evenings cutting each nail by hand, transforming short square nails into pointed stiletto shapes. We had no idea then that pointy nails would eventually become a massive trend ā€” and now, theyā€™re manufactured for us.

It all began with me, just one girl, working out of my spare time and selling on eBay. I remember those early days so clearly. Every time a sale came through, the "Cha Ching!" sound would go off on our iPad tablet, and the whole family would jump in excitement. There were only a few sets in the shop back then, and it would take me weeks to sell my first 10 sets. It felt like a small victory every time.

From Hobby to Business: The Family Journey

As our little hobby turned into something much bigger, the whole family jumped in to help. I recruited my parents, and together we worked hard to keep up with demand. Every part of the process was done by hand ā€” from painting to filing, boxing, and packaging. As we expanded, we were lucky enough to add a small team of talented individuals who now help us continue to deliver the same high-quality sets to our customers worldwide. We proudly ship our sets from salons and spas in Qatar to our regular customers in the USA and beyond.

Business has been a whirlwind, to say the least. We're constantly keeping up with new trends ā€” one moment, the longest nails are all the rage, and the next, it's the shortest styles. From viral posts on Instagram to navigating the world of TikTok, itā€™s an ever-changing landscape. But that's what makes it exciting!
